The evening meal was really excellent with good quality wine at reasonable prices (for a city hotel). Staff were friendly and helpful - if anything we felt a little rushed although we sat down at 7.30 p.m. - did not detract from the quality and enjoyment of the food however.
Room decor could benefit from updating and the room was rather cramped. No air-conditioning (which we knew when booking) - not normally needed in early April I would imagine, but would be pretty hot in summer. Location quiet enough to sleep with window open however. Dinner felt slightly rushed although we sat down at only 7.30 p.m.

The hotel was in a convenient location for the city centre.
The room was very dated and not entirely clean, the shower drain was blocked and drained away very slowly.

Vitry is a pleasant enough place, but not got a lot to offer on its own and the location is not really convenient for touring the Champagne area.
